By using the CalorieTaker app you agree to these terms. Please consult your legal counsel before publishing.
Use of the App
- The app provides calorie tracking and AI-based nutritional analysis designed for information purposes, not medical advice.
- We may restrict use or access for abuse or terms violations.Content & Accounts
- You are responsible for data you submit and for handling credential security.
- You may delete your account and data using the account deletion flow in the app.Liability Limitation
- CalorieTaker expressly disclaims liability for user decisions or health outcomes derived from app content.Integrations & Third Parties
- By enabling third‑party integrations (for example, Health Connect, Google Fit) or AI features you agree that the data necessary to provide those integrations may be shared with the respective service providers. Third‑party services have their own terms and privacy policies; you should review them before enabling integrations.
- Voice Input: When you use voice input for meal logging, your speech is converted to text locally on your device. Audio recordings are not stored or transmitted to our servers.
- Health Connect/Google Fit: When you enable health platform integration, you authorize CalorieTaker to read activity data (steps, exercise, distance, calories burned) to calculate accurate energy expenditure. We do not write data to these platforms. You may revoke permissions at any time via the app (Settings → Integrations) or your device/account settings.AI Recommendations & Medical Disclaimer
- AI-generated or automated suggestions are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical, legal, or professional advice. You are responsible for verifying any guidance before acting on it. We disclaim liability for decisions made based solely on automated suggestions.Sensitive Data & Consent
- If you provide sensitive attributes (for example, religion or health details) to enable personalized features, you explicitly consent to our processing of that data for the stated feature. You may revoke consent at any time via the app settings.Community Guidelines & Moderation
- Community Features: Community features (posts, comments, likes, follows) are optional and intended for sharing meal ideas, progress updates, tips, and encouragement.
- Acceptable Use: You agree not to post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of privacy, hateful, or otherwise objectionable. You may not impersonate others or use the community to spam or advertise.
- Content Ownership: You retain ownership of content you post, but grant CalorieTaker a license to display, store, and moderate your community content.
- Moderation: Users can report inappropriate content. Content with 3+ reports is automatically hidden pending review. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines without prior notice.
- Blocking & Privacy: You can block other users to prevent interaction. Blocking is mutual and results in automatic unfollowing.
- Content Deletion: You can delete your own posts and comments at any time. Account deletion removes all community content permanently.Changes
